Chocolate frosted gooey cake

A late Christmas post 🙈, hope you had a great Christmas 🤗. I did not go for a traditional spice cake cause I'm not a fan of it. :(

But this is the first time ever I made a chocolate 2 tier frosted cake. I made a dark compound for the ganache and avoided amul dark chocolate cause I really do not want to support that brand in any way. 🙅🏻‍♀️

The recipe uses such basic ingredients, you will be left surprised! It does not use anyyy vegan alternatives and just basic ingredients available at home.

The batter (to be divided in 2 cake tins) is as follows:

1 cup water

1 cup olive oil

1 cup powdered sugar

Mix the ingredients vigorously using a whisk

Now sift in 2 cups wheat flour, 1 tbsp baking soda 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, and mix the batter well.

Once the batter is mixed well using the cut and fold technique.

Now pour half of the batter in 2 cake tins and place in the OTG after preheating it on 250 degree Celsius. When the cake tins are on their way to be baked, bake them at 180 degree Celsius for 30 minutes or until a fork inserted comes out clean.

Now wait for the brownie to set after taking it out of the OTG. After taking them out if the tins, let the brownie sit in the fridge for an hour so that it does not crumble.

Till then make a ganache. I did it using this recipe.

After removing it from the fridge place the cake on top of the other and frost it on the cake. I forgot to mention that there is strawberry compote in the middle of the cakes. 🙈
