Creamy Hummus with a secret tweak and ways to use it as a dairy free, low fat and healthy cream!

Wish there was a high protein, savoury salad dressing or cream alternative? Well, this can be it. You guessed it right: It's Hummus. One can never go wrong with hummus because the recipe is REALLY that simple!



Ingredients: ✨100 gms boiled chickpeas. ( Did you know the chickpea water called can be saved for later to form a whipped cream? 🤯) ✨Juice of 1 lemon ✨1/3 cup Olive oil (amount can be varied to blend smoothly) ✨ Toasted sesame seeds ✨ 4-5 Cloves of garlic ✨ Salt to taste ✨ Half a boiled potato (this can even be used to almost eliminate the oil). Method: ✨ Blend this into a very fine puree. If you prefer a thinner hummus, add more oil but refrain from adding water. And done! You now have your hummus which can be used with any mediterranean dish like falafel or wraps and salads. You can also use it to substitute dairy based cream in savoury recipes such as soups like cauliflower soup, mushroom soup, cream of broccoli soup!
